hobby wing brushless systems

i have run a hobby wing brushless 13T motor in my buggy and i was impressed right off the bat but when i added the lipo, it was just a desirable upgrade for anyone looking to compete in the short course world. No offence to the nitro drivers out there but the electric cars just dominated the nitro field racing with us. i found these batterys and charger on ebay (the same ones that are in the pics). the batterys are small, light, and most of all powerful. they last long too. one upgrade i hade to do on my exceed sunfire was a new steering servo. i got a futaba servo just for the little extra.

setting up gear mesh

When you are setting up gear mesh it is important to remember not to push the gears tight together. There are some simple tricks when setting the gear mesh up. when you have a larger pitch gear than 38 pitch use one little strip of paper but when setting it up on a 38 pitch use 2 pieces of paper. When the gear mesh is to tight it kills the speed in the motor and the power but if you are running a brushed motor it heats it up huge and with a brushless you could surprisingly kill that too and at the cost of brushless motors it is not a cheap replacement part.

short course R/C racing

This was one heck of a Sunday afternoon. Down at a track in the middle of nowhere we battled it out. these short course trucks where put through there paces on a hard pack dusty track. There where some good laughs and some sun burns to go around.
